About us:
James Miller, CPT, earned his Master Dog Training Certification at the National K-9 School for Dog Trainers, Columbus OH, a leader in the field of dog training, behavior modification, and dog trainer education.
James was awarded his Certified Professional Trainer designation CPT, in 2019 by demonstrating mastery in Dog Handling, Basic and Advanced Obedience Training, Behavior Evaluation and Modification, Canine Personality Assessment, Breed Traits, Puppy Evaluation, and Preschool and Kennel Management.
James is also a member of the National K-9 Dog Trainers Association and abides by their professional code of ethics.
In addition to obedience training for puppies, James has trained Retrieval for Hunting, Therapy Dogs for Veterans, Personal Protection, and Scent Detection.
And if you ask James what type of training he enjoys the most, he will tell you he loves it all, but his true passion is working with 8-week-old puppies to train them to be happy, social, and well-mannered members of their new families.
With his wife Dyessica and daughter, Leslie, they make each puppy feel like they are part of their family. And they will work with you to find the perfect puppy for your family, either if you are looking for a specific breed or just looking for the best breed for your household.
Once they find that puppy, he or she will go through their 4-week training program. Your new puppy will live with a professional trainer and will be highly supervised throughout the entire program. By the time your puppy is ready, he will be crate trained, have a well-established housebreaking routine, be well socialized (to people, pets, and crowds), be an experienced car rider, and be fully trained in basic obedience and manners.
They have a network of trusted breeders throughout the US that identify the best puppies for the specific needs of their very discerning clients. Labradoodles, Bernadoodles, and Goldendoodles have been popular breeds these past few years.
Our clients find us by referrals and have come from Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Illinois, and Ohio.
While still puppies they will board with James and Dyessica like one of the family. Everything is done very passionately with the best intentions for your dog!

We have breeders we work with regularly, but we are open to any breeder of your choice as well. We ask for DNA and health testing on the parents, as well as documentation of vaccinations, deworming, and temperament testing in the puppies. Our Puppy Training Program is on top of that to guarantee the best puppy for your family!!
Our puppies will know the “heal” command and walk on a leash beside you without pulling, stop when you stop and follow your lead. They will know the commands to “sit, lay down, and come” on command. They will be sleeping through the night and much more!!
Our training program lasts 4 weeks and your puppy will be ready to be picked up at our Connecticut home. We can also make accommodations to board them with us or have them delivered to your home for an extra fee.
